Barlows UK became actively involved in the telecommunications market in the late 90′s when a new system was required for our head office in Malpas. Our engineers undertook training with Panasonic on the KX-TD range of digital telephone systems and, before long, a steady stream of customers emerged. Since those early days, our team has been trained on the entire Panasonic KX-TDA, KX-TDE, KX-NCP series of pure IP telephony solutions and have carried out installations across the length and breadth of England, Scotland and Wales.
Our preferred system design is with digital lines on structured Cat5e or Cat6 cabling and we can install to these standards including Cat 6 network testing and certification. We also install smaller systems with just a few extensions onto analogue or VOIP lines.

If you are having problems with your broadband ‘dropping out’ or crackly telephone calls then we can help. The majority of these types of faults are caused by customers cabling within their building. Often incorrect termination, wrong cable types and other installation factors are at fault. Our call-out charge is less than half compared to what BT would charge and we can often be on site the same day!
Our engineers are trained in the installation and testing of fibre-optics. We offer fusion-splicing, loss-testing and Optical Time-Domain Reflectometry (OTDR) testing, as well as fault finding on single-mode and multi-mode fibre.
With our equipment, we are able to locate faults or damage in fibre-optic cables to within 0.5 metres and faultlessly re-join severed cables.
